WebYes, the '78 is going to be more sggressive than the CC. Yes the CC is hotter than the '78, but the CC has evenly wound coils and has a smooth top end. The '78 has mis-matched coils, so it is going to be more chewy and have more 'bite' to it. The '78 is good for early VH-roth yrs. it goes well with a strat type guitar with a vintage style tremolo. So what I'm 'thinking' is that it is gonna have a nice little midrange bump (similar to a 'Cusom Custom'), BUT, obviously not have the push and overall width of the 'CC'.
