The 241J is still in use. The red tag on the back of the case says 241J then 4-1. They came in 23 spline input in the JK. The length of the input will be the question for my application, 5.2l/44RE.

The rear ring gear is 8.8" compared to 8.5" (IIRC) on the standard D44. The axle shaft diameter is significantly larger and there are more splines.
