After a great deal more research and hackery, found that the file /etc/init.d/firewall was running lots of 'iptables' commands, setting up rules which overwrote anything that ufw had put in. Added this line to that file, at the end of the 'start' section: WebIssue the following command to stop and start Uncomplicated Firewall (UFW). sudo ufw disable sudo ufw enable Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 Open the Windows Firewall utility: Control Panel> Administrative Tools> Windows Firewall with Advanced Security Add new inbound and outbound rules as needed.
